Michelle Fernandez: completed her Master of Professional Science (MPS) degree in Marine Conservation at the Rosenstiel School in August 2022. Her MPS project focused on completing habitat baseline fish assessments for the Wahoo Bay SEAHIVE™ Project, a marine and estuarine shoreline protection system that employs an artificial structure to dissipate wave energy before it makes it to the shoreline. Fabrizio Lepiz Conejo: Graduated from Villanova University as a finance & economics double major and accumulated six years of financial industry experience before pivoting his career. He joined the Rosenstiel School as a Master of Professional Science (MPS) in Tropical Marine Ecosystem Management, transferred to the Master’s track, and later was provided the opportunity to join the Doctoral track with the Coral Reef Futures Lab. As a part of his PhD, he is focused on researching methods to bolster coral thermal tolerance and inshore coral resilience.
